September 2024.

On September 17, 2024, at the IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, Germany, U POWER Tech and King Long United Automotive signed a strategic cooperation agreement to explore further collaboration based on U POWER’s skateboard chassis technology. This agreement highlights the potential of U POWER’s innovative business model “Powered by U POWER” and showcases its global influence in the electric vehicle industry.

U POWERTech Founder and CEO Paul Li stated, “From concept to today’s achievement, our cooperation with King Long has faced numerous challenges, yet we firmly believe in the unlimited potential of electric vehicles and recognize the difficulty of innovation. We appreciate King Long’s trust and support, leading to our successful model launch in the Chinese market. Earlier this year, we also partnered with U.S. startup Olympian Motors for a skateboard chassis business collaboration, and we look forward to working with more partners to drive the global electric vehicle industry forward.”
“Powered by U POWER” is an innovative business model launched by U POWER Tech that provides advanced skateboard chassis technology and smart electric vehicle solutions to help automakers quickly launch market-ready electric models, reducing the development cycle by 12-18 months.

King Long Chairman Zhijun Liu stated, “U POWER’s deep expertise and innovative spirit in skateboard chassis technology are impressive. This comprehensive cooperation aligns with King Long’s strategic commercial vehicle market expansion. We are delighted to be U POWER’s first Chinese partner for the ‘Powered by U POWER’ model and believe this cooperation will bring more competitive products to the market.”

Recently, U POWER Tech achieved significant progress in the global market. In August, its electric cargo van, the UP VAN, received the European Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA), officially entering the European market. Additionally, U POWER’s customized vehicle chassis product (Class 3) has been  delivered to customers in the United States, opening a new chapter in overseas sales and providing a diverse range of high-performance electric vehicle platforms for its global customers, further accelerating U POWER’s global expansion.

With the successful application of the “Powered by U POWER” model and significant advancements in the European and North American markets, U POWER is running full speed ahead to become an innovative leader and partner in the electric vehicle sector.
